- He explores ways of applying the temporal concepts of moving images to spatial and project-based contexts, developing works that foreground experiences of time that can only be encountered in a specific place and moment. Since 2006, he has been a member of the artist collective Nadegata Instant Party, presenting works throughout Japan.
He previously worked as an educator at the Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media [YCAM], where he developed and led original workshops and produced a wide range of educational and public programs. In recent years, his practice has focused on performative installations that integrate video, sound, light, and furniture within staged environments.
Selected exhibitions include Homō loquēns: Exploring the Science of Human Speech (National Museum of Ethnology, Osaka, 2022) and the solo exhibition Parallel Travel (Takanabe Town Museum of Art, Miyazaki, 2019). His work was selected for the Jury Recommended Works of the 18th Japan Media Arts Festival.
He is also the Representative Director of Twelve Inc.
